The branch of medication that specializes in using drugs as well as other medical agents that cause insensibility to any pain done to the body is called anesthesiology. Becoming an anesthesiologist requires students to undergo many years of education and training. They've to undergo school, then medical school and finally through specialised medical training. It requires almost twelve years to finish the training and education to become an anesthesiologist. They are highly trained medical professional who undergo extensive training on top of their basic medical education. The entire education and training consists of four years of undergraduate school, four years of medical school and finally four years of specialised residency program in anesthesia. The first year of specialised training serves as a general internship and provides hands-on experience to students.

The career outlook for anesthesiologists looks very bright. It's predicted that the demand for this career is expected to boost due to the growing populace creating demand for more doctors to fulfill their health treatment needs. Though actual stats aren't available to show the career outlook, it's forecasted that the opportunities for physicians is likely to boost by 10 to 20 % over the next 10 years.
